Nearly sixty people from across Wisconsin and neighboring states came together for a live webinar, “The Role of Surgeons in Addressing the Opioid Crisis.” The panel of speakers focused on the opioid prescribing practices of surgeons, alternative pain management options, and the work of the Governor’s Task Force on Opioid Abuse. Both the presentation and the audio recording are available on the SCW site. Thank you to moderator Jonathan Kohler, panelists David Melnick, Joseph Imbus, Nathan Rudin, Elise Lawson, Caprice Greenberg, and especially Tom Engels (Deputy Secretary, Department of Health Services) for making our first educational webinar such a success.
