WSS New President

Congratulations to Barbara Boyer, MD, FACS on becoming the 71st president of the Wisconsin Surgical Society!

2022 Summer Meeting

We are cautiously making plans for an SCW 2022 Summer meeting! In the past, our summer meetings have been an opportunity for SCW members to come together and discuss challenges, successes and strategies for improvement. The 2022 meeting will include this important component but we will be adding live demonstrations, a few insightful speakers and lots of family fun time!

Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!

Opioid CME Module

In an effort to reduce post-operative opioid prescribing in Wisconsin, the SCW team is developing an online educational module aimed at optimizing opioid stewardship among surgical prescribers. This resource will provide a comprehensive overview of surgical opioid education, including prescribing education and best practices.

The module will be available through the SCW Learning Management System in late 2021. A notice will be sent out when it is ready to view!
